Swing arms are mainly used for label application, on the front of moving products on a conveyor. The AP4050 swing arm is driven by a robust pneumatic rotary cylinder, which brings the tamp plate at the desired angle. A proximity sensor will release the label as close as possible to the product, for a reliable and accurate positioning. Thanks to its clever mechanical design and advanced electronics and firmware, this system is simple, reliable and cost effective. Due to the moderate force of the pneumatic actuator, the AP4050 Swing Arm is intrinsically safe for the operators.

Description

AP4050 linear is a pneumatic applicator representing the most common solutions for print & apply integrations. It is reliable, easy-to-use, cost-effective and intrinsically safe for the operators thanks to its mechanical design and its advance electronics and firmware. This applicator counts with a quick exchange tamp-pad mechanism that allows changing label format in few seconds, with a simple and safe operation.

The slide guide, driven by a Festo ISO 12mm cylinder, is available in two standard lengths, 250mm and 500mm, and operates without oil or grease, requiring minimal maintenance over the life of the machine. Thanks to the optional display or via the powerful remote Phoenix Software, all configuration parameters can be easily set. Available in two different paper widths (4″ and 6″).

Specifications

The pneumatic swing arm applicator is designed to print and apply the label directly on the front side of a product in a specific position. Furthermore, the goods can be labeled on two sides: in addition, this system is also able to apply a single label on the corner of the product.
